This weekend sees Swell and Muddy Maher’s host their 1st annual Blues Festival. Among the acts appearing are Carvin Jones (U.S.) Big Daddy Webster (U.S.) and Ain’t Nuthin’ But the Blues (U.K.)… all of whom will play the Lee Delta Blues Club (in Cork City!) over the same period. Kinsale Point To Point This Weekend

The Kinsale Point to Point is upon us once again — Saturday June 3rd-Sunday June 4th — and is always a great weekend of fun.
Point-to-Pointing is an amateur form of steeplechasing, regulated by the Jockey Club. To qualify to race in a Point-to-Point a horse must have been hunted a minimum of seven times in the current season.
Saturday’s first race begins at 4 pm with Bar and Band
Sunday is Family day out with the first race at 2.30 pm. Activites include Free pony rides, Pets Corner, Bouncy Castle, Puppet Show, Face painting, Laser clay shooting, a Dog show at 3.30 pm, Best dressed lady and gent and Bar and band. Really something for everyone.
