The business people of Kinsale descended on Dublin for a night, as Kinsale Chamber of Tourism launched 2007 in style with their new guide ‘’101 Things to do in Kinsale’’.
The many guests were greeted by the actors from the Kinsale Ghost Tour who entertained the many passers by in the IFSC as they gave Dublin a taste of Kinsale for an afternoon.
Minister for Art, Sport and Tourism, Mr John O’ Donoghue spoke at length about Kinsale but firstly paid tribute to the crew of the Kinsale trawler ‘’Honey Dew II’’ and the missing crew members and how important the Kinsale fisherman are to the town and its history.
Minister O Donoghue went on to compliment Kinsale on its achievements in tourism to date and commented on its ‘’remarkable programme of events’’ as well as the people behind these events that have made Kinsale what it is and secure Kinsales future as a leading tourist destination. Furthermore, Mr O Donoghue commented ‘’its not surprising to me that the Kinsale Chamber of Tourism has been able to assemble a list of more than 100 activities that visitors can pursue during a visit to Kinsale’’ Read more
